摘要：The modern approach to integrable systems typically proceeds via a curve, the spectral curve, with the parameters of the curve encoding the actions of the system and the solutions of the integrable system being built from appropriate functions on the curve. I will describe some generic features of this approach, focusing particularly on the curve, and illustrate a number of new and old results. Throughout I will focus on BPS monopoles for the system of equations of interest though the results are more widely applicable.

简介: Braden is a professor of mathematic from the School of Mathematics at Edinburgh University, UK, and is a renowned expert on monopoles. Braden received his PhD from Cambridge University, UK, in 1983. Braden has published more than 50 papers in JHEP, PRL, Phys.Rev.D, Phys.Lett.B, Lett.Math.Phys., Comm.Math.Phys., J.Math.Phys., Nucl.Phys.B, Phys.Lett.A, Prog.Theor.Phys., Lect.Notes Math., Adv.Theor.Math.Phys., J.Phys.A, Nonlinearity, Glasgow Math.J., with more than 1500 citations.
